Sylvie Bouteiller
Biography
Sylvie Bouteiller, born in 1975, lives and works in Brussels.
At the crossroads of different fields, where performance and composition are part of the creative act, her favourite instrument is micro-contact, amplified and bitten with acid, where the gesture and the poetics of the gesture enter into a dialogue with the imaginary.
Sylvie discovered electro-acoustic music through concrete experiments with sound matter in her improvisations and installations.
From painting to various image reproduction techniques such as etching and film (development and restoration processes), she delves into the relationship between the visual and the sonic in an attempt to recreate the image that acoustic music reveals to her.
