December 4-7, 2025 : Autumn Waves Festival @ Project(ion) Room

For the sixth edition of its Autumn Waves Festival, the Belgian Federation for Electroacoustic Music invites you to four exciting evenings of sound creation, featuring a rich aesthetic diversity: electroacoustic and acousmatic music, improvisations, video music, new musical interfaces, live electronics and mixed music, with percussion, saxophone and Butoh dance. An immersive experience, performed on a large orchestra of loudspeakers, the acousmonium, which stimulates the senses and gives a prominent place to Belgian composers, see the full programme below.

With a spotlight, not to be missed, on the winners of the Prix CIME 2025, the oldest international competition for electroacoustic music, on China, which hosted the CIME General Assembly in Hangzhou this autumn, and on the duo Mathieu Chamagne & Lê Quan Ninh. The programme will also feature gems from the repertoire, some dating back to the 1950s and 1960s, with György Ligeti, Jean-Claude Risset and Luciano Berio, as well as more recent works by François Bayle, David Berezan, Ambrose Seddon and Christian Zanési.

Most works will be spatialized by their composers, additional spatializations by Roald Baudoux, Sophie Delafontaine, Stéphanie Laforce, Julien Guillamat, Thibault Madeline, Vincent Simionovici & Todor Todoroff.

Finally, sound installations and a Max Meetup, dedicated to the use of Max software, will be offered free of charge.

Opening each day one hour before the first concert, free entrance.
