In the series of concerts by FeBeME-BeFEM at Centre Culturel Jacques Franck, we are happy to invite Marek Chołoniewski, Polish composer, sound artist and performer, founder of the Polish Society for Electroacoustic Music and President of  CIME/ICEM, the international Confederation for Electroacoustic Music. We will discover his works, controlled by brainwaves, in network and with video. The concert also features the latest creations of Stephan Dunkelman and Todor Todoroff. This concert is presented within La Semaine du Son / De Week van de Klank.

Marek Chołoniewski works as a composer, sound artist, performer and teacher. He is the head of the Electroacoustic Music Studios at the Academy of Music and Audiosphere Lab at the Intermedia Department at the Fine Arts Academy in Krakow, Poland, the founder and President of the Muzyka Centrum Art Society as well as the leader of the Polish Society for Electroacoustic Music. Since 2011 he has been the President of the International Confederation of Electroacoustic Music. In addition, he holds the position of the Director of the Audio Art Festival in Krakow, Poland. 
He founded many contemporary music groups and ensembles, such as Freight Train, ch&k&k, and Dizzy Kinetics. He is the initiator of many art projects, such as sound and video installations, of interactive space/environment, audiovisual and net-art projects, as well as the composter of instrumental and electroacoustic music. He received the honorable Award of the Polish Composers Union, the Award of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, and the Independent Project grant of the CEC ArtsLink in New York.
