Information about Loup Mormont

After studying sociology and anthropology at the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB), Loup Mormont embarked on a course in electroacoustic composition with Annette Vandegorne at the Conservatoire Royal de Mons, graduating with a master’s degree in 2010.

He has set up sound installations for various electroacoustic concerts at the CRAC in Cherbourg (F), the Villa Louvigny (L), the Maison de la Culture in Namur, the Théâtre Royal in Mons, the Théâtre Mercelis, the Théâtre Marni and the Espace Senghor in Brussels, and has written the soundtracks for several films.

His work as a composer has been performed in Belgium, France, Ireland and the UK, and won a prize at the ‘Diffusion Prize 2010’ international electroacoustic composition competition in Limerick (IRL).
